The Span Anu Makandra Presidential Working Group (SAM), chaired by Harold Pultoo, in collaboration with the Sranan Krakti Foundation; Met Vereende Krachten Sterk, held a Back 2 school Packages Project at the Congress Hall.
In the process, about 200 children from homes and various neighbourhoods such as Devisbuiten (Texas) were provided with a school bag filled with school supplies.
The main sponsor in this one is the shipping company Surinam Air Cargo Netherlands.
The First Lady was also present and did her 'Me Time' relaxation session with the children and encouraged them to commit to a successful school year.
Project leader Saskia Woelkens and the other members of the coordination team Cherida Monkou and Vanity Nazir speak of a successful event, thanks also to some Surinamese companies and donors.
